1. Status Reports:
a. Any Network Services projects pending/waiting? - still working on Diversity Office moves in the Union; nothing new yet with the Bookstore changes b. Shiva LANRover status - Winsock fix status--no problems - new LanRover has arrived; no modems yet (NOTE: modems here as of 6/13) c. Wiring project: - status report: Draime is all wired and should be completed by 6/14 VanHousen - all drilled and now pulling cables Bowman - start drilling today; Res Life will need to clean out the wiring closet locations Working hours will change to 7am - 3:30pm (approved by John H) Carm has asked the contractor to put a cement "boot" around the bottom of the hole in the floor to protect cables. Justin has sent all vendors our list of final criteria and they will present their final quotes to us in a 1.5 hr. meeting/presentation. Carm points out that we will need to set $1000 aside for patch cordage. - PACES: wiring vending machines d. Unix hosts - Host changeover status Russ feels the qmail testing period was successful May separate DNS, but probably not email for the residential network Reference: 3/18 notes from meeting with Russ e. Outage on 5/28 & 5/29 - Found out too late to prepare for the Stowell outage (took down many department's access to the network. - We need to hear 24hrs in advance for anything affecting our Raymond/Stowell/Kellas/Stillman sites since they affect the campus services significantly.2.
