Meeting Minutes 5/15/95

Present:  Brenda Bennett, Bob Jewett, Manola Sherman, Joan Upham,
           Paula Willard.



1. Next meeting:  To be scheduled before the end of June in order to prepare
   documents for Orientation '95.


2. Old Business:

   - review summer InfoChannel information.  Paula talked to Chip about 
     what we had proposed at our last meeting (4/24) and everything has been
     set up for the summer.

   - WWW publishing projects.  We discussed the projects listed in our
     goals for 95-96 and agreed that documentation was the single most 
     important WWW publishing project for this team.  To succeed, we will
     need to build team member skills with HTML.  A workshop on clickable
     maps and other HTML features has been set up for 5/31/95 for the team.
     Rob Best and Justin will conduct the workshop in Carson 101.

     Building on-line FORMS using HTML will be our next session.


   - Information projects for Orientation '95.  We will meet before the end
     of June to identify what needs to be published for distribution during
     Orientation '95.


   - 267-4444 (Activities HOTLINE).  Brenda contacted ACUS about providing
     peg count reports on 267-4444.  We had 25 calls (does not include calls
     from Manola; estimated to be 5) during the week of 5/2 - 5/8 (just prior
     to commencement).




3. New Business:

   - WWW Directories.   Paula has been working on these and they can be
     found from our home page (or click here to go to them directly)

     We need lots of team feedback and constructive critiques to make these
     directories as useful and complete as possible.  Send me (jewettrj) or
     Paula (willarpk@potsdam.edu) email if you have suggestions, etc.



4.  What's important to accomplish by the next meeting?

   - Attend HTML workshop on 5/31. 

   - Build HTML skills by practicing with your own homepage and documentation
     you want published on the WWW.

   - Consider what should be published for distribution during Orientation '95.

     - Orientation '95 preparation.

     - date for HTML forms workshop.
