1. Old Business:
- Carson project. The Asante ethernet adapters have been replaced with
Apple transceivers which work fine. Doug is working with Asante on
a replacement proposal.
- Orientation '95. Plans are changing quickly here. Apparently we won't
be participating in the initial orientation session (August), but rather
an orientation process that will go on over the first 9 weeks of classes.
The library will be the first, followed by computing and then academic
services.
- The Information Center Team met on Monday 4/24. The minutes
are posted on our internal WWW server.
2. New Business:
- PEOPLE:
We discussed the impact of CSEA bumping on Paula's position.
Erik Denny will be working as a student volunteer for network services
at the upcoming SUNY Technology Conference (STC) in June.
- PUBLIC RELATIONS:
No new business.
- BUDGET/FISCAL MATTERS:
Academic Affairs will give ISD lapsing monies to address information
technology needs around the campus. The ISD Directors will be meeting
on this.
The Finances Team (Manola, Bob, Brenda) will be meeting on Tuesday, 5/9.
3. Important Goals to be accomplished by 5/18:
- Schedule additional HTML workshops for staff.
