1. Last meeting: 11/8/95 Next meeting: 12/6/95

2. Status Reports:

   - Network Control Room

        * Ultrix boxes on the switching hub? (Dave)

        * 2Gb drive for Unix servers. (Dave) Installed?

Dave reports that he is still having problems with this hard
           drive.

        * UPS for network segments during power outages (Carm)

Agreed to cut over today since classes are not in session.

   - Switching hub (Carm/Justin)

        * Skyline status (see 11/8 minutes)

We need to determine the priority of this task and allocate
             time to do this.

        * Have we established a baseline of traffic/errors on our net?

Carm reported that he is having problems communicating with
the switching hub. Carm will present the baseline info
to the team when he has it.

   - Any Network Services projects pending/waiting?

         * wiring the President's house for data (Justin said to wait
upon this request until after the President has made plans to
           purchase a computer.)

         * Duplicating may be moving to Merritt soon.

         * Sen. Sears - phone line for move to MicVicar 245.

   - Shiva LANRover status. (Justin)

         * Lan Rover accounts update status (Bob)

         * New LanRover status
It has arrived. Justin will install and configure it.
We will dedicate 3 ports for DC/TM use only. The remaining
ports will added to the dial-in pool.

Bob, Brenda and Justin will work out the dialing plan.

         *  28.8 modems for LanRovers.

Bob gave Carm a report on 28.8 modems. The report indicates
that some very low-cost 28.8 modems have better performance
than the Zyxel modems we are using.

   - Network bridge "programming" (Carm)

        Not done yet.

   - Wiring the "dorms" project. (Bob)

         * Loan application status

Mike Lewis has identified another loan source (GE) that
actually provides a better interest rate than COPS. We will
need to provide the details needed to secure the loan. Bob
will make these arrangements with Mike.

         * Review phone conference with Claude Adair/Neal Brussard.

Carm is working on the engineering for the wiring closets
and therefore no information has been sent to Neal. Carm
will try to have this completed by the next team meeting.

         * Next wiring group meeting (schedule date/time)

            >review milestones
            >develop alternative wiring strategies (if we can't do all)

The next wiring group meeting is scheduled for Weds, 11/29/95.

   - NYSERNet Gateway Pilot project status (Justin)

         * Justin said that SUNYNet is waiting upon Sprint to finish their
Frame Relay segment in Syracuse so that we can test our
Bay Network (Wellfleet) routers. This could be any day.

   - CHAT service (Bob)

         * We will try to have this service available and supported by
           the Spring semester.

   - DEC 90L Hubs (Carm)

         * It will cost $200 to exchange our 90L hubs for 90L+ hubs. Carm
estimates that we have 5-7 90L hubs.

3. New items:

   - Getting our new meeting room wired.

   - Channel 5. Carm reports that we need a new amp to replace the one
     that is blown.

   - Brenda would like to look at the air conditioning the switch room
again. Carm pointed out that he has opened the mailboxes which
provides better ventilation to the room.

We will set up a meeting w/ Jerry Beaulieu, Carm, Brenda, Bob to
look at this in the very near future.

   - Brenda will deactivate the off-campus dialing from lecture hall
     phones.

We can use Brenda's cellular phone when going on trips.
