POTSDAM - The Canadian National Women's Lacrosse team will conduct a skills and drills clinic at SUNY Potsdam's Maxcy Hall on Saturday, March, 10 and Sunday March 11. The two-day clinic will include demonstrations on the latest techniques in women's lacrosse and will include one-on-one instruction with local players from SUNY Potsdam, General Vanier and Heuvelton High Schools. "This is an excellent opportunity for our players to improve their individual skills and expand their knowledge of the game," said Kirsten Keegan, head coach of the SUNY Potsdam women's lacrosse team. The Canadian National team is currently preparing for the 2001 World Cup. Tracy Coyne, head coach of the University of Notre Dame, was named the team's head coach in October 1999. "I look forward to the challenges of building a strong national team and a team that will be a World Cup contender in 2001," said Coyne. The clinic is set for Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will continue on Sunday, from 9 a.m. to noon. |
