Both the women’s lacrosse team and the women’s
softball team at SUNY Potsdam have been chosen for post-season
tournament action. The teams will play in weekend tournaments
hosted by the New York State Women’s College Athletic
Association (NYSWCAA)
The fourth seeded Bears softball team will play top-seeded
SUNYIT at 11 a.m. Saturday morning. SUNYIT is the host of
the 2004 NYSWCAA Softball
Tournament, which will use a double-elimination format
during the two-day event. Russell Sage is the second seed
while SUNY New Paltz is seeded third.
Elmira College will host the three team NYSWCAA Lacrosse
Tournament. The Lady Bears will play Elmira at 1 p.m. on
Saturday with the winner of that contest facing Brockport
at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
