The SUNY Potsdam women's softball team won their second
game in today's NYSCWAA Tournment as they downed Russell Sage by a score
of 5 -1. The win allows the Bears to play again at 12 noon on Sunday as they
remain active in the double-elimination tournament. Potsdam lost today's
first contest with host SUNYIT by a score of 8-0. Kari Brady pitched both
of Saturday's contests for Potsdam.
Elmira defeated the women's lacrosse team 15-4 in the
first round of the NYSWCAA Lacrosse Tournament at Elmira. Jen Prevost led
Potsdam with 2 goals while Hope Horton and Sazrah Rosentowski each scored
single goals. Larua Mooney was at goal where she made 10 saves in the loss.
