Elmira College '96

Dan Rose brings a superior style of soccer to the Bears program. As a former player at Elmira College and SUNY Cortland, Dan has experienced some very high levels of soccer throughout his years. He has the utmost respect from every player involved with Potsdam soccer. His expereince, excellent play, and complete knowledge of the sport has helped the Bears field players a great deal.

Indiana University '94 Tony Betrus was the first of three brothers to play soccer here at SUNY Potsdam. Tony splits time between coaching the Bears and as a professer in the Education Department. He brings to the team a wide knowledge of the game and an enthusiastic attitude.

Scotia/Scotia-Glenville High School Steve is a senior transfer from Utica college. He played one year for the Pioneers at Utica and he ends his soccer carreer here at Potsdam. Steve has helped the Bears defense become one of the highest rated defenses in the league. His physical play alongside his offensive-minded skills helps the Bears greatly. Steve is now majoring in Criminal Justice and hopes to lend his experience to a highly talented Bears team next year.

Fairport/Fairport High School One of this year's tri-captains, Jason is a junior transfer from Plattsburgh. Jason is a huge part of the Bears defense in the stopper position. His strong leadership and play have helped the Bears a great deal. He brings an enthusiastic style to our program. He will be looked upon a great deal next year to keep up his play in the middle of the field. Jason majors in Elementary Education and Sociology.

Watertown/Immaculate Heart Central As a goalkeeper, Scott came in as a freshman this year and started most of the games for the Bears. He really learned the physical play of the college game quickly and answered the challenge well. He suffered a tough injury late in the year but has bounced back well. Scott's future in this program looks bright. His major is currently undecided.

Watertown/Watertown Eric is a three-year member of the Bears program. His work in the midfield and defense has been highly effective for the program. His high work ethic shows just the type of player he is. Eric is currently majoring in Philosophy.

Floral Park/Chaminade High School One of this year's tri-captains, Rob came to SUNY Potsdam as a transfer from SUNY Albany. He played one year for the Great Danes at Albany before coming to the Bears. As a sophomore, Rob stepped right into the into the center midfield position. His vision of the field and his playmaking abilities make him a great asset to the team. Rob is majoring in History.

Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills High School Mike's positive attitude and hard work on and off the field make him a huge asset to the Bears soccer program. After gaining some quality experience as a freshman in the midfield, Mike carried his great play over into his sophomore year. Throughout the season, he remained a consistent threat both offensively and defensively. Mike is a Chemistry major and looks to have a bright future playing soccer for the Bears.
