"BearCat": The Online Catalog

BearCat: the online catalog: to find books, pamphlets, etc. in the main library collection. Many search modes are available. Search by Author for books by a particular author. A "Words in Title + Contents" search looks for word(s) found anywhere in the book titles and contents notes, if present. A "Words in Subject" search searches Library of Congress subject headings having the word(s) you enter, along with cross references (if any) to broader (BT), narrower (NT), or related (RT) terms. Except for the NYTimes, and the Watertown Daily Times, these newspapers are not available in the Crumb Library, but specific articles, or back runs on microfilm are usually available through interlibrary loan.

The best single compilation for data on New York State is New York State Statistical Yearbook   Ref.
