Departmental priorities:

The following description of our departmental priorities is based upon the
understanding that these priorities arerelative* to what
is happening at the time on our campus. That is, they are not absolute,
but rather must be reviewed, as often as necessary, to reflect the needs
of the College at any given moment in time.

Ranked in order of priority (highest priority is the first one listed):

1. Problems with campus communications:

Widespread (more than just one user) campus network outages affecting
        communications (telephone/data).

      Email and telephone system outages.

2. Problems affecting instruction/campus administration:

Problems with technology being used for instruction (computer, A/V,
        network).

Problems affecting office operations, student centers/labs (any
        technology we support--voice, video, data)

Large scale projects (e.g., our residential wiring project)

3. Setup/support for presentations, instruction, demonstrations to the campus.

4. Problems affecting an individual's work*.

Individual computers, telephones in a center, office, lab, etc.

5. Office, group enhancements, upgrades.

6. Individual enhancements, upgrades.

7. Outreach, public service, presentations to outside agencies.

*We must offer priority to the President and Provost, and in general, follow the hierarchy of the College when looking at individual problems. In some cases the President and/or Provost may require us to give them the highest priority.
