  • Why a Management Team?

    Mission of the Management Team:

    To ensure that the department is successful in meeting its mission and reaching its goals. The Management Team will set the direction and goals for the department based upon the goals of the College, the President, the Provost, the Information Services Division and the needs of its 5,000 customers.

    The Management Team will also provide experience and training to its team members so that they will be qualified to assume the assistant director's role.

2. Planning:

• REMINDER: Power Outage on Memorial Day weekend 5/30-5/31 (entire campus w/o power)
  
  
• Summer '98/Fall '98-startup Projects
  • What are our concerns? (e.g., email accounts for new students, documentation, etc.)
  • What will our strategy be for the week before classes start and the first 2 weeks of classes?
  • What role do we expect our student employees to play in this strategy?
  • What departmental teams need to focus on this strategy?
    
    

3. Management

• Evaluate 97-98 goals (Entire team with Team Leader)
• Determine 2yr goals (1998-2000)
• Determine 98-99 performance items
• Grade our 97-98 performance, based upon effort and based upon results, as we think the campus would grade us
