3.  Define our customer (limited discussion):

    - review spreadsheet results; correlation matrix  -- what does this
      tell us?

    - a customer is someone who we deliver a service to and that we are
      interested in satisfying.  We ask the customer about our performance and
      our services and we would make improvements based upon that evaluation.


4.  Excercise results to 4 questions: (see separate response summary)


5.  What's most important for the department to accomplish?

     - Meet our mission

    How can we meet our mission?

     - Reach goals that are set for the level of performance we want to achieve.

    What goals are important to be reached by 6/30; by 8/31; by 12/31; by 5/96?

     - Deliverying the services we think are needed or that we've been
       deliverying because of demand/expressed need by customers.

     - Address the changes that we have identified as needed (to reduce or
       eliminate what we don't like; and, to maintain or increase what we
       like.)


NEXT STEPS:

 - establish teams to meet those goals (team leadership/coaching skills needed)
 - evaulate our progress (6/30/95)
