Interview with:  Jim Terhune, Chair
                    Psychology Department

Interview date:  3/25/97



Questions:

   
1. How satisfied you (and your department) are with technology support and 
   services?

     Have received no complaints.  Like the SPSS setup in the Flagg lab 
     (Alpine).

     Flagg 204 is being used by more people.


2. What services and support could be improved?
   
   



3. Is your department considering any new technology initiatives for the 
   next  year?
  
     Three (3) new faculty will be hired starting with the Fall '97 semester.  
     They are replacing Bill Shearer, Richard Merchant and Lu Mei Hui.

     Jim may be interested in offering statistics via distance learning 
     technology for off- and on-campus students, if he is not chairperson.


4. What are your most important concerns and priorities for the next
   year?
   
     Replacing faculty computers.

     Jim is going on sabbatical next year and Karl Thaller will most likely be
     chair for the department.

     SPSS is being used by more people, so it will be important to renew it  
     again.
