AGENDA:
1. Review progress on:
- Cross-platform calendar/scheduling project (see FMPro item)
- Eudora Planner. Review Windows/Mac-beta results to
date
- TCP/IP-based conferencing service project (see FMPro item)
- Members of BearFacts are looking at "conferencing/chat"
programs on the Web to see which ones we would like to adopt as
a campus.
- Wilda Sutfliffe may recommend a system (ACT) and demo it in
an upcoming brown-bag
- Faculty-oriented facilty project (see FMPro item)
- The offer from Tektronix to provide us with a "free" color
laser printer has expired.
2. Life-cycle project update
- Finalize the Life-cycle budget for 1998-99
- Software to be included in lifecycle budget ($100K portion)
- Update on timeline/student employement (funding, housing)
- Create a computer record for each 1st-year life-cycle
participant when the computers are ordered.
- How can we determine customer (employee/dept/Priorities
Council) satisfaction, and department satisfaction, with the
implementation of the 1st year of the life-cycle employee computer
plan?
3. NEW Issues to be addressed:
- Review departmental interview notes/TO-DOs
- Establishing a Service-Level Agreement with the department
based upon the hardware/software that we will support for each
user in the department (this would include specialized software
such as PageMaker, etc.)
- What else are we concerned with in terms of expectations
and service levels agreed to by us/dept ?
- Can we make a Mac/Wintel CD of our standard software that home
users have had to download? (e.g., Communicator, Eudora)
